Ralph J. Bolen, Esq.

I am an Alabama native, born in Tuscaloosa in 1950.  I attended Vestavia Elementary School, and was in the second graduating class of Berry High School.  I then attended the University of Alabama, majoring in Economics and Finance with a minor in Marketing and Philosophy.  After graduating  in 1973, I attended Jones Law Institute, being taught by Supreme Court justices and practicing attorneys. On January 11, 1977, I graduated from law school and took the Alabama Bar in February. I was admitted to the Alabama Bar and have practiced law in all courts in Alabama since April 17, 1977.

After high school, looking for a summer job before going off to college, I was lucky enough to get a job at Central Bank, which was a new bank in town.  My first day, May 28, 1968, I was assigned to a conversion team.  That team was to covert the bank from manual bookkeeping to a computerized operation.  So, for all my summers in college and holidays, I had a job at the bank dealing with computers.  Once I graduated from college, I moved to Montgomery, Alabama to attend law school and landed a job at Peoples Bank & Trust.  Two weeks after I started, Central Bank bought Peoples Bank & Trust. I again was assigned to the conversion team, to convert the bank from manual to computerized operations.  Central Bank became Compass Bank ,which is now BBVA.  That experience, and my continued work  with computers for over 30 years, gives me a special edge with related technology matters.

I was fortunate that my father was a practicing attorney.  I feel honored that I was able to practice with my father for 20 years.  Over the last 33 years of practice, I handled a wide variety of matters.  Starting with criminal matters, the practice progressed with handling church disputes in many Baptist Churches involving hundreds of litigants, throughout Alabama.  In helping people with their problems, my practice has expanded to appellate work and people who have been injured.  My practice has taken me to just about every municipal,  state, and federal court in Alabama.  I am thankful that I have the confidence of my clients to gain experience with a wide variety of cases receiving national attention, dealing with complex litigation with multiple parties in several jurisdictions. I was fortunate enough to handle  a matter with the United States Supreme Court, and was successful in reversing the Federal District Court.  I am licensed to practice law throughout the State of Alabama and the 11th Circuit.

My clients range from individuals to corporations, with cases involving a multitude of various matters.  This office has been exposed to thousands of legal matters and has handled just about every situation.  I look forward to talking to you and helping you to solve your problem.  I take great joy in helping people with their problems. Call and set up an appointment at your convenience.  It won’t cost you a thing to ask me a question.

Randall H. Bolen, Esq.

I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. I attended Vestavia Hills Elementary, Jr. High and High School.  I graduated from the University of South Alabama in 1979.

I moved back to Birmingham and worked as a claims adjuster for an automobile insurance company. I became the senior claims examiner and worked closely with our in house attorneys and other attorneys retained to defend personal injury claims

The experience of being on the insurance company’s side of personal injury claims has helped me to represent clients in all types of claims involving personal injury and in giving the most benefit for the people we represent.  While working at the insurance company I attended and graduated from Birmingham School of Law in 1987, and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar the same year.

After passing the bar exam, I went to work with my father, H. Ralph Bolen and my brother, Ralph J. Bolen.  Working with two experienced attorneys has helped me gain the experience and knowledge to help people with almost any legal matter.

I have represented individuals. LLCs, partnerships, and corporations throughout the state of Alabama in municipal, federal and state courts, in both civil  and criminal matters.

I look forward to meeting you and assisting you though any legal matters you may have.  Give me a call and let me help you with your problems.
